I will dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's bout.

Former twice unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
